Easy & Cheap Home Remedies for Athlete’s Foot

When it comes to talking to your doctor about certain conditions, there are some that are simply more embarrassing to bring up than others. In fact, some people will live with a condition for years simply because they do not want to talk about it. One of the conditions is an athlete’s foot. 1. Tea Tree Oil

This includes being a treatment for athlete’s foot. To use tea tree oil as a treatment for athlete’s foot you will need to fill a foot bath with water.

A simple bucket or tub on the floor will work well for this. Just make sure both of your feet will fit inside. After filling the tub with water, add around forty drops of the oil. Place your feet in the tub and soak them for around ten or fifteen minutes or so. After they have soaked for fifteen minutes take them out and dry them well. Next, add a few drops of tea tree oil directly to your dried feet and massage it in.


2. Salt and Vinegar Soak

There are numerous home remedies for foot soaks that can help to alleviate the issues that are caused by athlete’s foot. One of the simplest soaks that you can make requires apple cider vinegar, Himalayan salt, and water. You will need a soaking tub to place your feet in. Mix the bleach in the water and then soak your feet in the mixture. You should keep your feet in this bleach and water mixture for about ten minutes or so. After the ten minutes are up you will want to remove your feet and dry them off thoroughly with a towel. In order to make this tea you will want to use about four ounces of the leaves with about a quart of warm water. Let the leaves soak in the water for about an hour or so. This will help to soften the leaves and extract the juices.

Place the mix into a foot basin and then soak your feet in the solution. Keep your feet in the mixture for about twenty minutes each day. This same mixture can be used more than once per day. However, it is important to make sure that each day you make a new batch of the soak using fresh oregano leaves.
